What do you think the white light in my bedroom means?

Question

A couple of months ago, I saw a basketball sized white light in my bedroom. It was early morning,about 8 am. I work right next to my house and needed to go home to get something. My bedroom has 2 doors. One goes into the bathroom ,and one exits into my den. I came in through my utility room, then went through my bathroom into the bedroom. Just as I entered the bedroom, a basketball sized white light went past the foot of my bed , under the door and into my den. I followed it, but when I opened the door and looked into the den,nothing was there. My teenage daughters were still asleep in their rooms. I checked the rest of the house but there was nothing else. What do you think this could have been?

only thing i can think of is an orb. but i have never seen an orb that is the size of  a basketball

A white light generally means there's a presence there that's giving you a high frequency of protection.

Feel blessed.. I'm sure they're angels watching out for your daughters.

could have been an orb.  i took a picture of my daughter on her rocking horse.  it was night, so there was no sun to reflect off anything.  and my MIL had passed a month or so before, and there's a definate orb in that picture.  

it's someone who wants you to know they're there.

it's pretty cool when you think about it.

well I'm sure you scared. but rest easy. I'm sure it was just a reflection of some sort.you may not have noticed.the door still moving. explaining the movement.

could be a blur in your eyes, a reflection off the t.v. or a polturgeist. go outside at night on a full moon and take some pictures (flash on) when they are developed look for orb like things floating in your pics. its not dust its a change in temp. or something the camera caught moving. its really rad

I have a friend that had a white light in her room and I believe it to be an angel or a spirit guide either way it is a good and protective energy there to love you.  Honestly a flashlight, like the other poster said it was daylight.  It was about 11am and I was standing in the hallway and a blue light came rushing down the stairs in front up me and through the kitchen.  A beautiful blue light.  It was totally daylight and no reflection from anything.  Angels  Take care

you would think it'd be from a car's headlight but that doesnt seem right if the light was on the floor and it went under a door....

maybe it was a ghost or an alieeennnnnnn

You probably surprised a shy spirit.  I think it was more afraid of you than you were of it.   Mostly the shy ones are small children.  If your house is old research to see if there was a death in your home.  If your house is new, post 1960, research the land for the same reason.  Good luck

If it wasn't an orb or ball lightning...then maybe it was someone outside with a big flashlight or spotlight shining it into your house. Or a light reflecting off a mirror and when you opened the door it looked like it moved . (Far out..I know. lol) I'd be really curious too!!
