  1. Two likely environmental outcomes. Either we continue to accidentally terraform our planet for the worse via polution or we intentionally terraform the planet to improve it. The power to do both is nearly in our grasp now. In 40000 years there will definitely be an answer as to which path we took. I'd like to think that we are making that decision collectively now for the better, so maybe our species won't need to wait long to know the answer.

  2. It will be so totally different that nobody could possible imagine. 40,000 years ago was long before the start of recorded history. That long ago there were still Mastodons, woolly mammoths, saber tooth tigers and all kinds of now extinct animals. Who knows what modern species will be extinct in another 40,000 years and what new species may appear. Personally, I think by then that humans will have genetically engineered themselves to the point of not even being what we would call human.

  3. Yes, definitely devoid of anthropoids. Maybe it will have a civilisation of intelligent lizards trying to figure out what all those weapons are that they keep digging out of the ground.

  4. The world will be square and the moon will be made of cheese.

i don't know exactly.  it depends on what we do tomorro, or the next day, next year, next century, generation, or the next 4 billion years.  by then, the sun would cease to exist.  so whenever the sun goes out... all human life will suddenly vanish from the universe.

  5. What world? we are in the end times

  6. I am sure  everyone would have left the planet

    by then.

  7. The world will end up like venus and will have no water.

  8. I would not know because I would be dead.

  9. What? You mean that little speck of dust? Aren't you the optimist, 40000 years. At the rate things are going were going to be that speck of dust a lot sooner than that. I know one thing if I was a young adult I would have real problems about bringing a child into this world to face what's coming.

  10. Still smoldering after the big one...WW111

  11. No humans on Earth for certain - either we are wiped out by a virus or we evolved more biologically and technologically to the point that we are an advanced space exploring Kardashev Type 2 civilization.

  12. A paradise

  13. in 40000 years we will become so technologically advanced that  we will see the greater meaning in life and given up on earth-damaging technology.  For us to survive we must learn to coincide with the earth, not wage war against it, for us to become the supreme masters of this world we will have to learn to harness the power of the earth, we would use tornadoes and hurricanes to power our windmills, and volcanoes to heat our homes.  We will truly reach the peak of civilization when we willingly give up all that we have now in order to thrive in the way we were meant to
