You know, I honestly think we're going to kill ourselves with plastic before we quit using it.  But if we were to live past the age of plastics, the would will be a dirty place with deformed/demasculated creatures.  There will be extensive cancers and (very colorful)  landfills will abound. Or, if a widespread policy of burning takes hold, there will be toxic clouds everywhere...

Well I just can't imagine how that would be for two reaons. I dn't really know what you mean by that. The other reason is because I think the world would end before that happens.

The age of plastics will never be over. Plastics are replacing metals and other materials more and more, not less and less.

It wont happen for a LONG time because it will become more and more advanced and safe and all that before it dies out... it is a fad, but it will be a long lasting one. I'd say about 400 years at least
