Should this fairy in my novel be a prince, king, knight, lord of the manor, or thief?

He's the fairy-tale love interest of my main character, a human who is pregnant with his child. If he is a king/noble, the baby would be heir to his property/title etc, while if he was a thief, it would put my main character in legal danger. What do you think?

  1. Thief is interesting, but I also like the idea of the noble/royal child.  Is it possible that he could be both somehow?

  2. I think the idea of a fairy being a thief is fantastic - it's something completely unique.  Just knowing that a fairy can be a thief in the world you created makes it intriguing to me.

  3. Hmmm, I think that it would be pretty cool if the story was sort of prince caspian-ish. Like, the king is the fairy's uncle, and then the queen gives birth to a male heir, so the prince and the pregnant human have to run away?
