I think the first one might say mama inside of it...and the second one I still think says Jason. Wasn't one of their kids name Jason?

  1. My response is along the lines of TR's, I purposely didn't read the responses before I listened to the EVP, and I thought it sounded like "I need cheese".  Listen to it again after I have said this, and that is exactly what it sounds like.  "I need cheese".  Apparently this apparition is a picky eater.

  2. Okay, for the first one I heard, "mmmmnahnahnah ummmummum". Then the 2nd one was "mmmm cheese".

    Mmmm.... cheese...

  3. The first did sound like a child humming.

The second, it sounded younger than a 6 year old, but I couldn't make out what was said.

I just wonder if the voices had been adult, if that would have made more of a difference to the owners, rather than it being a child?

  4. With EVP, unless it's extremely clear, it's difficult to pick out what's being said. Pareidolia is the prime excuse to dismiss most EVP's, and this is no exception. However, there are EVP's out there which are clear and understandable. Here's one site I found a few years ago, which illustrates the point:

    http://www.ghost-voices.com/

There are lots of great samples on that site to listen to, but lots of what they interpret for us is hard to "unhear" once we know. A few of their interpretations seem suspect to me, as I've gone through and listened, and I disagree completely with their interpretations.

But for the most part, these are clear EVP's which are fun (and more than a little creepy in a couple of cases).

  5. Studies have shown that the human brain tries to make patterns out of everything.  The study on EVP states that even with manipulated (totally made up be a researcher with only white noise) EVP's, a person will hear what they expect to hear.

  6. it sounds like she says  i dont know know

  7. I trust TAPS, they have worked hard for their creditability.

I have never first hand caught / witnessed an EVP being recorded, still it is the one paranormal phenomena that I blindly believe is real. But I can admit I may be wrong about the source of which it comes.

  8. 1 it sounds like the voice says the name Annie in a playful way. #2 I think it sounds like the voice is singing a song and says "Jesus". Cool! What do you think it says?
