What do you think this was?

Last night in bed I woke up to a HUGE pain in my lower abdomen. It wasn't period pain, I know that, it felt different. Like someone was going to make my insides burst. It was only at the bottom of my body, around where my bladder is.

I took some ibuprofen, but it didn't help one bit. I put a hot water bottle on, that didn't help either. I couldn't stand up or roll over without falling over or increasing the pain even further. It's the worst pain I've ever had. I was sweating like anything because of it, too. What on earth was it? I feel fine now (7 hours later) and I just get the occasional pain now and again. Nothing major. I just can't work it out. Any ideas? I don't know if I should be concerned.

  1. It doesn't seem to be the appendix: which would be lower rt quadrant where you would be have pain. Its located lower abd/bladder area-which might just been a bowel movement or gas. Have you been constipated? If so, take a little milk of magnesia to resolve that. If the problem continues on for several more days, please contact your doctor. Where then they can order a pelvic us to diagnose you properly.

  2. It could be a really bad gas pain, but it could also be something more serious. If it becomes intolerable again, you should probably go to the ER. It never hurts to check just in case :)

  3. your appendix might be infected. go to your doctor
