  1. He's had a shaky start.

In 2007 he had gained 4 wins, 5 second places and 3 third places. He also gained 2 fastest laps and 6 pole positions. He came second place in the Drivers' Championship with 109 points (just 1 off first place).

In this season (as of the Monaco GP) he's gained 2 wins, 1 second place and 1 third place. However a bad performance in Bahrain (he spun into a wall in the practice which destroyed half his car, and then had a spare chassis put in. In the actual race he crashed into Fernando Alonso's car after a bad start,  being overtaken in the Drivers' Championship by Räikkönen and Heidfeld) put him in 13th place.

But since his Monaco win, I feel there's a strong chance of regaining his position and a good season. He has only learned and improved since that day in Bahrain (coming third place, second place and then first place in the following races) and, with a bit of luck (especially in keeping Räikkönen  , Massa and Kubica behind him) he could steal the Championship title from Räikkönen. Räikkönen is not doing so well at the moment and I feel may lose his title to Hamilton, Massa or Kubica. If Hamilton can put as much effort into the remaining races of the 2008 season as he did in the Monaco GP, this will be his best season yet.

After all, Hamilton's best races were in this season (firstly he said his best perfomance was in Istanbul, and then the highlight of his career was emulating the late Aryton Senna in Monaco).

  2. Pretty lame season, compared to the last one. Looks like he's got plenty of eminent company, though, hasn't he?

  3. Not as good as his rookie year so far, admittedly. But he isnt doing too badly!

    Go Lewis!

  4. it isnt as great as 2007 but the great win today means he's 3 points ahead of raikkonen

  5. Doing fine, equal to the Ferrari drivers.

  6. well......i think he has done ok...he's had a few mishaps which hav brought him down......but i think he'll win the monaco race...

  7. What does he have to do to convince people; stand on his head and drive backwards?

The fact that the car hasn't been quite so dominant as the start of last year, has absolutely nothing to do with Lewis Hamilton.

All that Maclaren want him to do is to win the championship, and at this moment in time, he is leading it.

    Is anyone doing any better?

    Could YOU do any better?

    I somehow doubt it.

  8. Mediocre season for a mediocre driver. You can't judge last year considering he was driving an illegal car on steroids. And yet, he still managed to throw it away. This year is what I expect from him...not much. He's another Weber or another Button. Hyped to the rafters, low on actual talent.

Qualified third with "favoured" car. Hit a barrier. Only won because of rain.

    Wow what a genius.

  9. i think the teams(mclaren &ferrari)/ cars are more equally matched this season and ok hams has made some errors but  they all have and thats why its so close in the points,  this is one h**l of a season!!

  10. the season isnt as bad (overall), but the hype has reduced (thank goodness).  i think people realized that they were OTT (over the top) crazy for lewis last year and they are mellowing down this year

  11. ask me at the end of the season

  12. He's doing ok! Leading the championship again and it's been two wins each for him and the two Ferraris. Not too shabby!

  13. A good start, a bit of a lull then steady improvements. Hopefully were in for a good two or three way fight for the championship.

  14. He's not doing too badly. the thing is he seemed really phenomenal last year because he was a rookie. So what he accomplished was like "WOW!" to a lot of people. Then even if he did exactly the same things he did last year this year, we won't be that impressed. Because he's no longer a rookie.

  15. this not the era of undisputed eternal champion MICHAEL SCUMACHAER.. there are many guys who can win this season... Kimi, hamilton, even massa and kubica are doing great.. watchout man.... anything may happen
