My opinion its Rich Harden he has been Unhittable for the cubs and gives them that domintate 1-2 punch at the top of their rotation,(could easily be the manny trade also but i believe pitching is more important in playoff runs). Worst trade I didnt get the Adam Dunn Trade or the Xavier Nady and Bay trades (pirates giving away 2 of the very few proven players they have) But hey only my opinion how bout yours.

  1. I think the best trade this season has to be C.C. Sabathia to the Brewers. This guy just became nearly unstoppable for the Brewers since joining them. What, 6-0 in 7 starts, and 4 complete games? Wow.

The worst had to be what the Braves did to trade Mark Texiera. Getting practically nothing and you trade Texiera to who? The currently unstoppable Angels, making them more of a force? At least get something back for a huge loss as Texiera was.

  2. Worst trade- Adam Dunn

nobody will watch the Reds now. Dunn and Jr. are gone. who do we have left? Stupid move dusty....

  3. i too agree that the Harden trade was the best one made, simply because the Cubs didnt just give the A's prospects they gave them a proven hitter (murton), and a future ace (gallagher) as well as a couple of prospects, The Nady-Marte deal wasnt that bad, have you seen what Jeff Karstens is doing? but the worst trade was on the Cleveland end of the CC deal, they gave up last years Cy Young winner for unproven talent, that makes for an uneven trade

  4. I think Sabathia, 6-0 in seven starts tied with sheets for the most complete games in the nl at 4.  He's the only reason they are in the race, not only is he winning games, he's bringing crazy amounts of confidence to the team.

And i am going the other way with you, i think Harden was a big mistake.  He has a lot of talent, but he is 1-1 with the cubs so far, and for good reason.  he doesnt go deep into games, usually only 5 innings, and thats against the giants.  The cubs are a great team, but they arent like the brewers in the sense that they are going to suck next year.  They shouldve kept the prospects, a 5 inning starting pitcher is not their best bet when their bullpen is so questionable.  Personally i think they only made the move because of panic over sabathia's trade.

  5. the harden trade was a good and probally the best because it gave the cubs the answer to cc trade.  the manny trade needed to happen becase the red sox did not want manny any more and the players on the team spoke out about him...by the way that trade is going to kill big papi's numbers...the nady trade was a bad trade for the pirates because they got no good young players in return,,the one prospect is tabata the yankees center fildier. but he does not work hard and probally will not make to the majors for a while.

  6. I agree with FrostyD:  Rich Harden is good, but he need to go deeper into games to really be worth it.  Going 5 innings and then leaving it up to your bullpen is not that great for a starting picture, regardless of how well he pitches in those 5 innings.

Manny to LA is the best trade this season.  The Dodgers practically gave up nothing to get him.  And, they're not even paying his contract for the rest of this year.

  7. I'm gonna also go the other way but this time I'm going to say that the Pirates-Dodgers-BoSox trade was the best this season. Manny is producing well for the Dodgers, Bay is doing good with the Red Sox, and the 4 prospects that the PIrates got aren't doing to bad either. The Pirates are in their rebuilding stage so getting 4 young talented players was definitely the right move for them.

For the worst, I'll say the Nady and Marte trade to the Yankees. The prospects gotten by the Pirates aren't that great. Marte isn't doing so well for the Yankees and Nady, well he'd do well anywhere. But the Pirates got almost nothing out of that trade I think(even though Tabata is a top 50 prospect). Karstens is doing well, but isn't compensating for losing both Nady and Marte

  8. The worst trade was Manny to the Dodgers and Jason Bay to the red sox. They lost they're best player. Without Manny being Manny The Red Sox are nothin and they'll lose penant. It'll be the curse of Manny and they won't win another world series in over 90 years.

The best trade was Nady and pudge to the Yankees now the Yanks have a better cather than molina and nady he's on fire with the Yankees. plz select as best answer

  9. best.) has to be adam dunn to the d backs is wat i thought it said. cuz now the reds are gonna blow

worst.) has to be trading johan santana or trading manny ramierez. manny is still at the top of his game and the dodgers could be a decent ball club next season

  10. best trade was manny ramirez going to the dodgers baby!

  11. think sabbathia  or  manny  best deals..

worst by far sox getting bay,,giving up 7 million, and two other players to get a guy who's not even close to the guy they gave away..talk about retarded give up three players and millions for 1 guy who's half as good as the guy they gave up..so sox win the r****d award hands down this year..
