  1. Oh thank you so much for that! I loved it! Some of the things I didn't know, I am a (new-ish) vegetarian, and everyone is ALL ways saying you need meat  you need meat you need meat! Will I don't believe I do! Anyway, thanks  alot for this video!

  2. Warning for everyone else, this video clocks in at 20:08.

Here is a link from the actual TED website (this one will open in Firefox). http://www.ted.com/talks/view/id/263

It's a very interesting lecture (as are all of the TED talks), but mostly things veg*ns will already know.  It is a good video to send to non-veg*ns, as it isn't an in-your-face production like many pro-veg*n videos are.  The speaker isn't a vegetarian, and doesn't plan on becoming one.

Here is a TED talk from Dr. Dean Ornish about the American Diet.  http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/...

  3. "string" go a thumbs down from me too, not because i thought he was rude - which i didn't, but because of his defeatist attitude.

"Oh well, every thing we do polutes anyway."

did you see the video "string" ? did you see that agriculture is second only to industry for its pollution ?

Its your type of attitude that really is exasperating. There is a problem, you can do your bit, and yet your response is to turn to the governemnt so you can continue using up the resources in an unsustainable manner. where is the sense of  responsiblity ?

If we all had that attitude, we'd be in even more of a mess than we are.

Its an excellent talk, sounded a bit like me sometimes (!) - although he was more inteligible ;-)

All common sense, i was hoping he'd end with the question "Why wouldn't you ?"
