Two important points:

A better term for Global Warming is Global Climate Change, because greenhouse gases change the amount and distribution of energy within the atmosphere and oceans and therefore will change anything that is affected by a change in energy - rainfall patters, wind speed, direction, and timing, change of seasons, mating and birthing patterns, distribution of species, crop failures, etc., etc.

The other point is that the decline of cheap fossil energy due to "Peak Oil" (and the peak of all other deplete-able resources) will make all predictions about climate change dramatically wrong, if oil peaks relatively soon (within 25-35  years).  That is because all climate change projections assume that fossil fuel use will continue to increase.  If it cannot, then projections of continuing increases will be wrong.

yes we have to have another energy source.cut back on carbon monoxide is the thing.  have to limit destroying crucial areas in the world. the world does run in cycles but i believe we have speedened up the process greatly. the world will take care of itself with no pity for man

Well, Global Warming, I honestly don't believe in it. Well I do,but I believe it is called something else. See,the Earth has cycles, when it's cold or warm. We never really know. But I don't think we're going to die from it. Te earth heals itself. I really think it has something to do with the government trying to control the people. But we shouldn't be afraid or take precautions. There really isn't anything to go nuts about.

Nothing - As nothing can be done.  Further research into global warming has determined that the Sun is the source off all warmth on Earth, and since the Sun's output is never constant, the Earth warms and cools as the Sun's temperatures change.

Scientist believe the Sun is entering into a time of cooling, and we should experience many years of below normal temperatures and increased snowfall.

The global Warming is not so bad that  scientists try to tell us.

The worse is the dryness  wich comes directly from human activities on water cycle.

By reducing of rains water infiltrations and over pumping of  underground water reserves.

This drought  increases co2 value in atmosphere because of norecycling and  increase the atmosphere temperature added to green effect.

The solution is  the "globale water resources management".

That means refeeling of underground spaces  with runoff water.

Actualy the incresing of dryness  accelerate the water speed in water cycle because the deserts become bigger and reduice the volum of the water space in the atmophere..

The problem is : nobody understand my point of view because i am 50 years in advance .

But that is what we should do and what we will do.

Learn the facts not the hype that has been presented by the politico-pseudo scientists that have distorted the methods and interpretation of the data to fit their agenda.

Have you ever seen the "error bars" that any reliable scientist would present with the data so that you can judge for yourself the reliability of the data and the interpretation?  Do you just take it as a fact??

What do you really know about how the temperature has been collected and reported?  Do you think that might affect the accuracy and reliability of the outcome?

It's really sad that someone thinks the world will end in 10 years from global warming. For my whole life the media has jumped from one 'crisis' to another, each of them so deadly they insisted you sit down and watch or read all about it. That has nothing at all to do with increasing their ratings or circulation, it's all about protecting you <sarcasm>.

DDT, cyclamates, alar, radon, interior mold, cholesterol, not enough omega-3, the millenium bug, global cooling, global warming, the list could be much longer than this but I'm tired of it. There is always some major crisis according to the media.

If you believe in AGW and that the world will end because of it in 10 years - take heart. According to the Mayan calendar the world ends in 2012 so we'll all be dead by then.

raise mileage requirements for cars.

put up more wind turbines.

start construction of nuclear plants.

encourage China, and other countries to do the same.

charge import taxes (duties) on products from countries that do not follow those rules.

did you know that MIT is working on a car that they hope will get 200 mpg.  they're already up past 100 mpg.

What a mute question.  There is nothing we CAN do about global warming.  We didn't listen when we were first told about destroying the rain forests or about the holes we were putting in the ozone. The more we are told that we need fewer cars on the road, the more cars we buy and the more we drive them.  The only thing we can do now is watch it happen.
