What do you think? which would be better?

Okay, each morning I send him a message, sort of our tradition with eachother. Some days in the afternoon I will send him a longer message just showing support as he is going through hard times right now. He says he loves the long messages and they really touch him, but at the same time I don't want to go overboard into annoying or that they don't mean as much if I send them too often. So this morning I am deciding between the following two messages, which would you prefer to get or which should I send?

"good morning handsome. happy wednesday! thanks for being such a great guy, i feel very lucky to have you in my life and am so glad we have gotten to be so close. =) have a great day! xoxo"

OR

"good morning handsome! happy wednesday. I hope you have a great day. love, (my name) xoxo"

Keep it short and sweet - i know you're friends and all but if you're not romantically attracted to him, you would not want to give him the wrong idea - that will be hard for him (especially since he's going through a rough time) keep being a good friend and good luck

I think you should send the short one. Then you can send him a longer one later in the day without looking annoying!
