  1. Having a setup that can accommodate three turns equally and not one turn exceptional then the other.  They will also need plenty of Horsepower to get down the longest straights in auto racing.  Finally Pocono has added a change to turn  3 by adding a new strip of asphalt in which the cars will be using a different groove then in the past increasing speed off that turn.  Of course you still need big cajones to get through those treacherous turns.  Especially the tunnel turn.  You're toast if you blow a tire or lose you brakes.

  2. have a good car stay up front stay away from trouble and that's about it

  3. Track Position, keeping out of trouble and a good handling race car that comes out of al 3 turns good

  4. Having Kyle Busch behind the wheel!!!!!!111rolfbbqlol.

Not really....I just needed to see what it felt like to ride on that bandwagon for a second.

Key at Pocono?  With this car?  Track position will be EVERYTHING...expect another follow the leader snoozefest.

  5. Being in front of the follow the leader line. That, and fuel mileage. Another boring race.

  6. getting to the finish line first is the most important thing.

next is pretty much what tbone said - the setup is tough because of the three very different corners and their unique handling requirements.  plus, they've added new asphalt around the top of certain parts of the track.  also, a strong engine won't hurt - pocono has THE longest straightaway on any  of the tracks nascar visits.  so getting off turn three well and starting that run down the long straightaway will be key.

but again, getting to the finishing line, and getting to it first, those will be the big keys.

    ;-)

  7. I love Pocono I am from there.  Okay I digress.  Keeping out of the wrecks is key at Pocono and good pitting is always a good thing.  Fuel mileage will be a factor.

  8. i think setting your car up for turn 3 or (6)  so you can get off the turn to the flag. i wish they still shifted thou..that was cool..

  9. you have to start up front. its as simple as that. you cant win here without starting up front. stay out of trouble. ALSO. VERY IMPORTANT!!!! HAVE A GOOD PIT CREW. this track is huge and pit stops mean everything.

  10. being out front on the last lap

  11. Have Kyle to drive your car

  12. pocono is fairly easy compared to dover. u just have to stay on the lead lap and out of three wide traffic.

  13. The way its been going with the COT its has to be track position and no equipment failures.

  14. A smart crew chief that will take a chance with fuel mileage.  Look for the Hendrick teams to do well.

  15. Have a dang good engine. If a driver's engine is junk, he won't make it to the end of the day plain and simple. Also, make sure to keep Denny Hamlin out of the lead. He's way too good at Pocono. (To the Hamlin fans, I'm not insulting him. He's a fellow Bill Elliott fan and I'm acknowledging that he is very good at Pocono. He has my support this Sunday along with Bill Elliott, Terry Labonte, Bobby Labonte, Jeff Burton, and Kasey Kahne).

  16. Good set up for turn two.
