Great advances are being made with the creation and projection of high-resolution 4D holograms.  I see a time in the not so distant future where one's mind can be "entangled" with a hologram of that person. This conscious hologram can then be "projected" to any point in time and space on earth or in outer space.  It will be a new way to explore the unknown without ever leaving the comfort of your living room. Think what that would do for going to a job interview or maybe a business conference.

The possibilities would be without limits.

Actually you wouldn't send the transformed matter through the internet.  You would disassemble the body atom by atom then send the information of every atom in your body over the internet  where it will be assembled by  using raw materials.

Nano-technology is gaining momentum.  Unfortunately, unprofitable technology is being relegated to the back-burner in the current climate of big-profit mentality.

sony has a new LED tv the whole thing is less then 1/4 inch thick, I seen an 11 inch one that was a few thousand dollars. i tihink this will be the next big thing.

But for a usful item i think they will come out with a more effiectent machine that will make green energy.  In texas i think there is a guy who has made a vertical growing chamber to grow alegy the fastest growing plant.  and will use this to make all kinds of fuel.  different alegy will make different types of fuel.  its really exciting stuff.

The ability to send matter through the internet.

You can't create matter out of nothing obviously, so the 'original' would have to be turned into energy and sent along with instructions on how to recreate from that energy, it to the destination.

They'd never risk it on humans obviously, but how cool would it be to e-mail yourself somewhere as an attachment!

"Hey it just materialized, cool thanks"
