both parties know that the U.N. will step in and, as ususal, ask the UK and U.S. to provide the political, military and financial leverage....

until that time, they are going to pound the h**l out of each other to release generations of bad blood...The U.S. will use this as a reason to fortify NATO....Russia will use this as an excuse to expand its military clout in Eastern Europe...and the UN will likely work on a "solution" that preserves the status quo...
