What do you think will happen to the U.S. stock market this week?

It will fluctuate.

That's why it's so much easier to make money by long-term investing, rather than short-term investing.  The long-term trend is quite clear, the extremely short term is anybody's guess.

With all the banking mess right now I'd say it will be down a few hundred points this week.  Its already closed down two days in a row.  There might be a slight rally towards Friday, but overall it'll be down 50 - 200 pts.

The stock market is up and down like a newly-wed couple right now. You need to watch individual stock and see what they are trending. But I think it will be up a bit tomorrow and finish OK at the end of the week. Check out SSTP, I own some of it and it has made me some good money.
