I have 4 children ages 7, 4, & 2 year old Twins. I stay at home with them and I have been summoned to jury duty tomorrow. I do not have child care. I called to tell them and I still have to show up. So I am taking them with me. I am nervous about it though. What do you think will happen?

  1. You may be dismissed, but they may also ask why you couldn't find a babysitter for this period of time. Usually you have more than 1 day to respond, & plenty of time to make arrangements. Good luck, I hope you get off!

  2. They interview you as any other jury candidate. You won't be the first to show up with kids.

  3. I think they will let you out of it

dont bring extra diapers and bam your out of jury duty!!!

  4. Nothing like taking your responsibilities as a citizen.  It is so much easier to find a great excuse to stay away.

  5. Well honestly I would try to find someone to watch the kids and just go and hopefully be dismissed. If you get dismissed due to no childcare your name will go back into the system and you will be called again within 6 months. If you just go more than likely you will be dismissed as soon as you get there and wont be called again for at least two years.

  6. They'll probably make you arrange child care and come back. Then you'll have to file something (can't remember the name) saying you tried but there is no one to take care of them.
