What do you think will happen when the galaxies finally stop moving forward?

Will everything start reversing back to the beginning again until it starts all over. Do you think that black holes are the start of the end of multiverses? swallowing ever thing until all is gone and a new big bang starts all over. i just have this damned dream over and over.

  1. At present the expansion seems to be accelerating so in the far future observers would not see the sea of galaxies that we now see.  Some people do then talk about space-time tearing itself apart in a "Big Rip"


  2. Well one theory is that when the other forces in the universe can no longer overcome the force of gravity, the universe won't just stop expanding, it will start to shrink into itself, leading to "the big crunch."  Fortunately that'll probably take a while :P  

  3. They'll pull into the Galactic Supercluster parking lot.
