What do you think will now happen to the Mathews family?

I think the children will go to people who will love them, cherish them and put them first over and above anything else. At least I hope they do.

I think their mum needs proffessional help for what has happened. Prison won't help, she will suffer enough for the rest of her life as it is.

Hopefully those poor kids will be adopted out to decent families, and given a better future.

I got the thumbs down recently for describing them as

"pond life"

Family doesn't seem to be a very accurate description.  

Best case - the kids will go into care and get some help and become useful members of society.  Unfortunately, the care system in the UK isn't the best.

Worst case - they will turn out like their parents
