What do you think would be an obstacle for The Dark Knight being nominated for and winning Oscars?

It is a comic-book based movie, though it’s lately enthroned to graphic novel genre. What else?

The Return of the King (LOTR), being a fantasy movie, was discouraged before nomination, but it went on to disprove the predictions. Would TDK make a similar feat?

No I think The Dark Knight will be fine because the acting was awesome in it, the special effects were great, and pretty much everyone who saw it loved it.

I think it will get the nominations for best screenplay , best supporting actor ( Heath Ledger ) and maybe one for best director and special effects
