  1. the TWENTY year interregnum wouldn't have happened and with a nice orderly distribution of minutes between Larry, Lenny and Kevin there would be MORE banners up there...that dealer did more to stop the C's than ANY other team could have...

  2. According to "DRIVE" Birds autobiography they had big plans for Bias. He was going to be a big part of the team from the get-go he had that much talent. He might've helped them win another one or two.....but the bigger part of the equasion was Reggie Lewis. With HIM Bias, Bird, McHAle, Parish, and don't forget DJ, and Brian Shaw who they forced back from Italy 2 seasons later they would've had an awesome team of seasoned Hall of famers and just as much young, athletic talent as is possible to have on the floor. They could've gotten by the Pistons once or twice more......... Let's not forget Reggie, statistically he was heading toward being one of, if not THE best Celtic ever!

  3. Len Bias and Reggie Lewis. Their personal tragedies is a powerful reminder of what coke and drugs in general could do to a promising career. Their untimely deaths took the fun out of Red Auerbach and the Boston Celtics in general. Red became less involved and without his managing skills the franchise went the deep end. The Celtics management wasted a lot of favors trying to hide Reggie's real medical condition. Heart problems are NOT called heart problems when they are clinically consistent with symptoms of cocaine overdose.
