No, seriously though it must be from something you have done to make the other person hate you that much that he/she would wish you dead.  Or, it could be greediness....like when you are expecting to inherit something and the other interested parties would not want to share a portion of that inheritance with you so, they would rather see you six feet under the ground.

Mostly it's because of hatred, envy or avarice.
