  1. Cubs fan here and I think they've got an excellent chance at making it to the postseason.

    AL West - Angels

    AL Central - White Sox

    AL East - Red Sox

    AL Wild Card - Yankees

    NL West - Dodgers

    NL Central - Cubs

    NL East - Mets

    NL Wild Card - Brewers

    ALDS

    Angels over Yankees

    Red Sox over White Sox

    NLDS

    Cubs over Dodgers

    Brewers over Mets

    ALCS

    Angels over Red Sox

    NLCS

    Cubs over Brewers

    World Series

    Cubs over Angels

  2. Like 1 percent

  3. I would say the Dodgers have a great chance of playing in october. Especially sence they have Manny now.

  4. i dont think my favourite team is making october baseball for another 30-40 years, cuz the ones right now are idiots, who dont care about winning....

  5. My team has a not so good chance of making it since my team is the Toronto Blue Jays...oh well theres always next year!

And Halladay and Burnett as of Friday were #1 and #2 in Strikeouts!

  6. well my most local team the rays-100 percent

    tigers-70

    red sox-90

    cubs-100

    nats-0

  7. Haha, I dont want to be unoptimistic, but I think our chances are so gloomy to the point where Im soooooo dissappointed that its not realistic anymore. But I hope the padres could prove me wrong of what I said, which they probably wont, but its always good to dream. And plus, we have next year too (:

  8. i'm an angel fan.

i'm pretty sure they have this one in the books

  9. HAHA I don't think the Indians are gonna be stepping up to bat in October.

  10. At the rate they're going they're going to make it!

  11. i think the Rangers will fall about 6 or so games short of the Wild card (and about 20 or so of the division) but be ready for them in October 09!

  12. I think the Marlins will make october.

  13. I don't think the Jays will make it.

  14. We still have 2 months i still have faith in my Yankees

  15. I think the Minnesota Twins will be in the playoffs either as a wild card or they might even win the division. They have an easier schedule than the white sox for the rest of the season and we have them at home for 3 in september i think they will come away with the division personally.

  16. Lets Go Marlins!!! I still believe! :)

  17. Lets see my favorite team is the best team in baseball

    the LAA Angles

  18. I think my team will definately be seeing the field in October.

    Go Cubbies!

  19. I think the Cubs will make it to the post season for the second year in a row.  They have awesome starts from Ryan Dempster and Ted Lilly.  Carlos Marmol and Kerry Wood do great jobs at the reliever and closer positions, and the pitching is consistent.  They are backed up by great defense from Jim Edmons in center, and Aramis Ramirez at third.  Mike Fontenot has been great in the clutch and Mark Theriot has had great hitting.   If the Cubs don't make the playoffs this year, it will be a cardinal sin.

  20. i think the chances are very good

  21. An excellent chance of winning the World Series.

Angels are the best team in baseball!!

    GO HALOS!

  22. I think the Cubs are definitely going to play =D

  23. I'd say the Cubs have a chance

  24. Since they play in the NL West I think the Dodgers will win the division and probably get swepted in the 1st round

  25. My Tigers have no chance.

Cubs over the Twins in the series

  26. Yankees fan. And I like the team's chances despite the less than stellar play this week vs. Baltimore and the Angels. Still a lot of season left, but I'm not writing them off.

  27. LOL, I'm an Indians fan.  So, I don't think that they'll be playing in October.  My predictions:

    AL East   Tampa Bay

    AL Central Minnesota

    AL West   LAA

    NL East    Philly

    NL Central   Chicago

    NL  West   Arizona

    AL card   Boston

    NL Card   Milwaukee

I like LAA over the Cubs in the Series.

  28. My favorite team is the San Francisco Giants, so I'd say my guys have no chance.

I can, however, make my own predictions for the playoff picture.

    ALDS:

    (4) Rays 1

    (1) Angels 3

This series is going to be taken down to the wire. The Rays are gonna take game 1 with Kazmir on the mound, and Shields has a strong possibility of winning his start. The Angels will come out on top though, the starters will step up and eat some innings and you know that unbeatable offense will take a toll on the Rays bullpen.

    (3) White Sox  2

    (2) Red Sox 3

This one is going to be taken down to the wire. Both teams can potentially put on a pretty good offensive show, but the Sox's pitching will be significantly better than that of the ChiWhites.

    ALCS

    Angels  4

    Red Sox 2

The Angels simply can't be stopped, and home field advantage will definitely prove beneficial.

    NLDS:

    (Wild) Milwaukee   0

    (1) Chicago    3

Chicago is going to give it to Milwaukee just like they have been all season. Offense and Stellar starting pitching will show through in the SWEEP of the brew crew

    (3) Arizona        3

    (2) Philadelphia   1

The Phillies have too much trouble with their starting pitching, and Arizona has Webb and Haren in a one-two punch. The Phillies could take one, but only if Myers is on his game.

    NLCS:

    Arizona      1

    Chicago      4

The only reason I gave Arizona a game here is because I live in an NL West city and they regularly pound my team. You guessed it: The Giants. Cubbies in 5.

    World Series

This one goes to Seven, and this time the Angels won't come out the winners. Despite their offensive prowess, good pitching always prevails.

Prediction: Cubbies in 7. Goodbye Billy Goat

  29. I think my Cincinnati Reds have an excellent chance of playing baseball in October...if you count backyard baseball with the kids as "playing in October."  As for the post season, I'm gonna have to go with "no."  It's nice to dream though...
