I was looking at them online and I'm curious if people have both or they use one or the other?

The bouncer vibrates and bounces and the swing rocks them and plays music and such so do you need both?

  1. I have both but my bouncer dosnt vibrate it just bouncers. Shes 10 weeks old and is starting to bounce herself on it by rocking her body back and forward, she loves it. She also likes her swing and it is very good for putting her to sleep.

  2. have both but the bouncer (which is actually a vibrating papasan chair) is only to take with us to grandmas.  He LOVE LOVE LOVES his swing though!!!!!  Chair is ok, not his favorite but he'll tolerate it!!

  3. I have both and had both with my other two boys.  My oldest son prefered either one depending on his mood so I got a lot of use out of both.  With my second son I got more use probably out of hte bouncer seat.

  4. We have both, and have only used the bouncy seat about twice. The swing, however, has been well worth the money. She is just one of those babies who likes to be in motion, and the bouncy seat isn't enough for her. It just depends on your baby's preference. Good luck.

  5. When they are tiny, the swing, but I used the bouncer the longest. I always hated how it vibrated, just doesn't seem good for a little one. They both serve a purpose, but don't overuse them. They like mommy's arms the best.

  6. I have both. The swing you will probably use immediately but the bouncer will probably have to wait until your baby has head control.

  7. I used the bouncer a few times. But an exersaucer a whole lot more. When the baby was young, we used the car seat more often or portacrib.

  8. My son likes being in his bouncer better than the swing.  His bouncer has a little aquarium on it, it plays music, and vibrates.

  9. Easy, you don't choose that, your baby does! You can never have too much baby stuff unless you don't have a baby, but if you do, you'll eventually end up with everything under the sun. With my children they used the swing more, but bouncers are easier for traveling (say to grandmas) and such! Hope this helps.

  10. My kids both loved to swing in their swing. If you get a good swing you that runs on electric instead of batteries I would suggest it. My husband fixed ours so it ran on an outlet and our second baby would sleep for 2-3 hours at a time. It was great. First one slept in  the swing to. They're really nice to have when the baby is really little so that you don't have to hold the baby 24/7.

  11. I have a different swing (Graco A-frame that the infant car seat just attaches to, it's like $60) -- and we use it ALL THE TIME. It was the single most used item we bought for our baby. We used the bouncer, but not nearly as much. My baby didn't like our bouncer the first 2 months anyway. I don't think she felt snug and secure in it.   It would be nice to have both, but if you can only have one, I would pick the swing. hands down.

  12. I have both, but my little guy doesn't like his bouncer. He LOVES his swing, however, but all babies are different.... If you can afford it, I would get both and see which your baby likes best. If he doesn't like one of them, you can always re-sell it.

  13. when my daughter was a newborn she loved the swing. She never really liked the bouncer, but now now that she's older (9 months, 6 months corrected age because she was a preemie) she hate the swing. She wants to be down on the floor playing or in my arms walking around looking at things.

  14. both are great.

    is it a budget thing?

  15. An exersaucer can be entertaining for more months.
