What do you use sprites for?

I only use them to make avatars. what else could they be used for?

i was wondering because i see a lot of sprites by different video games. and at the bottom it says "ripped by (person's name) give credit to to me if used."

That also does not make sense, if this was ripped by some ordinary guy (meaning anyone could do it.) why must i give credit to that person when some other guy could have ripped the same type of sprites.

I don't mean to sound fussy, i wanted to get my thoughts down before i forgot them and i am a little lazy to go back and mak it sound a little more kindhearted.

Please and Thank You! ^_^

  1. The acknowledgment is for the author of the avatar. It isnt a matter of copyright law or illegal use. It is a matter of common courtesy.

If you made something from your creativity, and someone else took it as their own, wouldnt you like to get "props" for your work??

Yes, you dont have to... but wouldnt that be the "right" thing to do??
