For my Wintec Saddle, I just rinse it off with the hose every once in awhile. There are a lot of spots that have dirt on them, but I can't get it off. I don't know if I should use soap or not. What should I used? Also, how many times a week should I clean it?

  1. Usually it's just a damp cloth but you could use a bit of liquid soap if it was especially grubby. Make sure you get it all off again though.

  2. Wintec Saddles are pretty durable and I usually use a damp sponge or cloth with just a dab of mild hand soap. I find it works really well and then when I'm done washing it I just hose it off. Make sure that all the soap is gone before you let it dry. I think that once a week or even longer is more than sufficient for cleaning your saddle I know of people with leather saddles who only clean them once a month! Hope this helps...   :)

  3. You can buy a synthetic saddle cleaner from most saddlery shops. It comes in a pump pack ( spray bottle ) for around $10.95 AU.  This stuff works really well and all instructions are on the bottle including how often to clean. I would not use soap as it is not recommended by Wintec.

  4. baby wipes maybe? just use soap, it probably wont do anything bad

  5. Hello , Well I have friends that us a sponge and water and others use sponge , water and a tiny tiny tiny tiny bit of soap just on the spots they cant get off and there saddle looks good as new and if did not change there saddle , but if you are un sure speak to your local saddlery or horseland rep and they should be able to tell you more anyway good luck and thanks

  6. I have seen spray cleaners just for wintec saddles, I would try that first.  I would clean it once a week
