  1. I have always used my aircraft for pleasure.  I have owned several different ones over the years.  I liked the Piper Comanche the best, but it was also the most costly to maintain and the most trouble.  The most utility and most economical was a Cessna 172, but I am a big guy and it is a little cramped and very plain Jane.  But, it is easy to fly, cheap to maintain, and very predictable in the handling department.

I have flown as far as San Juan, Puerto Rico once and have taken several trips to the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands.  I owned a fabric covered Cub for a while and it was fun, but required much more attention to the wind speed and direction.

Flying has gotten so expensive recently.

  2. Cessna for recreation

Its not like it can go really far anyways.

  3. Cessna has produced more business jets than any other manufacturer. My favorite so far is the Cessna Citation Sovereign (CE-680). I don't own one, but I have the type rating and enjoy flying them.

  4. I'm assuming Cessna owners use it for the same reason Piper, Beechcraft etc. owners use their planes? Is this some sort of research for something Cessna specific or are you considering buying one?

  5. The cessna is usually used to show visitors the sights, due to the high wings and excellent views below. Then flying to airports with restaurants for lunch or dinner. Aerial photography is another good use, provided you have clean windows.
