It doesn't matter who/when/where/why. What is your general reaction when this happens to you or if you witness it happening?

I was in a hospital the other day and some vagrant walked in and started yelling at the TV and yelling a couple or racist remarks whenever an ethnic minority appeared onscreen.

  1. Simply ignore it.

Paying any heed to the comment simply gives the word or comment power. People who use racist terms are usually doing it to draw a specific reaction from people or to garner attention. Don't give them either and they'll simply bore of using it.

If you get all bent out of shape, you let the word have power over you. Remember, sticks and stones!

  2. It depends on the context.

  3. It twists my stomach. At work this c**p goes on all the time.
