My husband is a meat and potatoes kind of guy and I'm looking for new recipes for things to cook for him. Do you have any good standby recipes that you are willing to share that you usually cook for your family? Ps. he's Russian.

  1. My husband is russian too. But he is the pickiest person in the whole world.

His mom makes  fried potato in cast iron pan. she cuts them thin, shoe string style. Adds just a bit of oil to the hot pan and cook them for more them 1/2 hour. Stirring always. When is done, just add salt and pepper.

Brazilian rice is a fave with him too.

I also, cook potato cut in half, with some salt in the water. Then I melt butter in a sauce pan, add the potatoes (drained) and *** parsley, basil and parmesan cheese to it.

    I hope this can help.
