  1. courage.

    maybe some friends already

  2. I'm also a freshman! School starts tomorrow where i am. YAY and BOO! lol. ok so what do you need? well. the main things would be...

-3 ring binders for each class (1 - 1 1/2 inch) my teachers wanted 1 and a half

-loose leaf paper . college rules

    -pencils #2

and then i think your teachers will give you a supply list later. have you gone to registration/orientation? cause thats when we got our supply lists.

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Yeah when i was a freshman i took the basics then my teachers gave me a list of what we needed for their class. Good luck!

  4. Bring a binder or notebook with pockets for every academic class you’re taking (classes like band or PE probably don’t need one). You’ll of course need plenty of pencils, and a portable sharpener would be helpful, too.  Also bring blue or black ink pens incase some of your teachers require them for essays and stuff, and red pens because your teachers might have you correct your own work sometimes. Plenty of lined, college ruled loose-leaf paper is essential, and so is grid or graphing paper if you’re taking an Algebra or Geometry class (you should also get a good calculator – if you’re taking Geometry it should be able to do sine and cosine equations). Bring comfortable clothes for days when you have PE (or if your school has a special PE uniform bring that).

Besides school supplies you should bring tissues, a snack, a water bottle, etc. and put them in you locker, along with any other portable items you think you might need. I can see from your avatar that you’re a girl, so you’ll want to bring pads/tampons.

I hope this helped – have a great 1st day!

  5. It is tough to know exactly what you need before you actually attend your classes.  Generally your teachers will give you a syllabus on the first day of class which will outline topics of study, rules, contact info etc.  Usually teachers put a list of supplies needed or recommended for their class on the syllabus.  Once you get the syllabus, make a list of what you need, and go out and get them.

Before you go to class, I would suggest getting some basic supplies to take with you on the first day of classes.  I would get either a folder or a binder for each class, depending on what you prefer.  I would also get a binder for each class to leave at home and put old material in as the year progresses, just so you can keep the folders or binders you take to class up to date and more organized.  Other supplies I would get would be your basic pens and pencils, erasers, a highlighter, notebooks (one for each class), and post-it notes or the little flags.  Those are helpful, especially in textbooks.  Depending on what math course you are taking, I would recommend investing in a graphing calculator - a graphing calculator works wonders, and gets more and more useful as you advance through math.  I would also highly recommend a planner if your school has not issued one to you already.

I hope this helps you - good luck starting high school!
