What do you want at your local ethical/green/organic supplier?

What would you like to buy from your local ethical supplies warehouse, food or non food.

What is your biggest compaint or how would you change your local suppliers?

I would like to see more support given to local farmers and the purchase of their products,have the suppliers go out to the local farmers and tell them what sells in their stores  so the farmers would know what to plant  and supply the stores and so not every farmer is planting the same thing

I think all of these ideas sound great!

I totally agree with the supporting farm workers!!!!! I've recently read a book handed over to me by a friend, took me forever to actually get to it, since I was reading other stuff, and was busy with school, but I'm glad I did, and boy was I awakened!!! It had a section/chapter in the book about farmers. I'm sure most of you have heard of "Fast Food Nation", totally awesome book, they sure did their homework!!

Oh, my bf recently bought "organic eggs" and they are totally worth the money, they definitely taste better, more flavorful!!!! No joke! I've tasted eggs like that b4, out of country where I guess things are more natural, less processed/mass produced the way they are here.  And yes, I also agree with the girl who did write about, organic things being more costly, unfortunately they are more costly, and if they didn't cost that much, perhaps more people would buy them. Yes, the meats and vegies, heck, even organic clothing and some products are of course more! I think it's worth it, but it would be nice of course if it didn't have to cost that much.

Oh, by the way, also found out recently from a documentary, that the car company, I think, GM, had recalled a perfectly good environmental car, that people absolutely loved, regardless of their protests and questioning of why? They said, the market wasn't good or something, but here you had people in California who already loved their cars and others who were curious and wanted to buy a car like that.  The film is entitled "Who Killed the Electric Car?"  !!!!! Watch it if you can, it's really interesting and heart breaking! The scoundrels, it wasn't just them though. Look into it! :) Take care all!

I like organic food--but I wish they will cut down the prices, cos they cost a fortune on veg and meat..people just cant afford them..If they want us all to use organic...make them affordable to people............

solar supplies - for indoors and out - eg.  I would LOVE a solar powered cat water bowl - one that uses solar power to stop it from freezing - I have a farm.. 2 farm cats and plug in their bowl - solar power would be way better..
