  1. i want to see that you can be trusted when taking care of a little one. that your honest, enjoyable, playful, and do everything on the list of things to do. that you will lay down the law saying your in charage of the house until the parents get home. thats what i look for

  2. Good for you.

I want someone who knows how to make quick decisions in an emergency such as choking, fire or a injury and will anticipate any accidents . In other words safety is the priority.

I want someone who will not talk on the phone to her friends  or email while on duty.

I want someone who addresses the needs of the child as far as knowing when the child needs to eat, sleep and have activity suggestions or planned games.

  3. Make signs and stuff. Put it on peoples dorrs and tell em' wut yeah know and they might hire you.

  4. It is nice to see they have taken a babysitting class and also an infant/child CPR class.  Check with your local hospital or community education program to see if they have them available! :)

    Good Luck!

  5. knowledge. responsibility and wiling to be able to help educate the children's

  6. You're the parent.  But the baby sitter interview, like any job interview is best done as a conversation, not a test.

The Touring test is a proposed test where you, the human, are talking to a computer.  If the computer convinces you that it's a human, it's intelligent.  But it's a conversation.

If you want to hire a good baby sitter, you have to be a good baby sitter.

  7. I'm looking for a babysitter right now. I can tell you I will only hire someone who has been through some baby sitting classes and is CPR certified. It is also important to be able to provide references. (people who you babysit for now) so the parent can contact them. I am also looking for someone who is responsible, has common sense, and someone my child likes as well. Good Luck!!!!

  8. Show responsibility, a passion for children, patience, knowledge of developmental milestones, baby-sitting classes, CPR, First-aid training, a healthy attitude and habits, knowledge of activities to do with children, and be outgoing, friendly, and pleasant.

Also, don't be afraid to clean up after yourself / the kids after you do something - - - even if the parents say it's not necessary, it'll look great, and they really WILL appreciate it.

If you finish something when making the kids something to eat, start a grocery list for the parents :-), mention what you finished when they relieve you, always say please and thank you, show that you KNOW - or are getting to know their kids idiosyncrasies (little funky habits), speak responsibly and with good grammar, be confident, show respect for their kids routines, don't be afraid to bathe them if they get dirty, always make sure they at minimum before bed: wash their face, neck and hands, brush their teeth, comb / brush their hair . . . and take care of them like you would your little brother / sister!
