What do you wear to ballet class?

I mean, I know what you wear. But what colors? I thought the main thing for ballet class was pink slippers/pointe shoes, black leo, and pink tights. But my step mother (who has taken ballet over half her life) said that they only wear that if they are being "evaluated" but everything I've seen they are in that outfit. I'm so confused...

So what are the colors of what you wear?

As said before it depends on the schools dress code. We HAVE to wear purple with a logo.

It really depends where you dance. Some places require a certain colour leo for each level, some just use black leos. Usually pink tights and shoes. Some studios, like mine, are very flexible. Now, I wear black tights, black shorts and a black tank top, and I choose black. We never really had a dress code

Well different schools have different dress codes, but here's mine:

Black Leotard

Pink Tights

Pink ballet shoes/pointe shoes

Hair in a bun

It depends on the studio, really.  Most professional studios (like mine) require that dress code for class, evaluations, etc. for women, and guys wear black tights and a white shirt.  For certain company classes, we (women and men) wear dancewear with company logos on it.  But in general, for women, most professional or semi-professional dance studios require that dress code.

you're right, the typical outfit is classic pink, split sole shoes, pink tights, and black leotard. but dress codes vary depending on the studio. some studios require a specific shade of blue for a leotard, some studios allow any color leotard, and some studios allow even tan or black tights.

if you are looking for the dress code for a specific studio, i would reccomend looking for that studio's website; it will most likely list the dress code. if not, i would say the safest thing to wear would be pink tights, with either a dark blue or a black leotard and pink shoes

it depends on where your dancing...some have a dress code others dont...where i dance i can wear sweat pants and a t-shirt...it all depends on where you go

Depends on what your studio dress code uses. Ask, and they might tell you:P My dance studio uses any colours.

i think that what you have is the basic idea but i really depends on your studio like at my studio we're only allowed to wear pink, black, grey, white, and gold. I think if you really would like to know then ask your studio but otherwise i would just go with the outfit you have.

If you are concerned about this you shold ring up your dance school to clarify the colours or even better go there and see what other people are wearing and at some dance schools like mine they sell all the uniforms that you have to wear.
