What do you wear under the volleyball shorts?

OK, first question:

For TRYOUTS should I just wear regular panties under my shorts?

Second question:

IF I MAKE IT, do u agree with wearing boy shorts under the shorts? I don't like the idea of a thong cuz I always think of a permanent wedgie. But, I don't know so that's why I'm asking :)!

I appreciate all the answers, but I'd super appreciate the answers by people who know the answer from experience. Thanks everybody!!

Being comfortable is KEY. Where whatever panties you feel comfortable in no matter what it looks like. No one really cares!! I play volleyball and i wear a thong when i play but boy shorts are fine! As long as you feel comfortable!!!!

wear what you want, for me thongs are a little uncomfortable. but you can also buy special underwear for vb, it's almost like spandex but much shorter so you won't see it under your shorts. gd  luck at tryouts!

go to target( iknow they have them) and buy spandex underwear. they're like boyshorts but since they're made of mostly of spandex they only have a tiny seam at the bottem but nowhere else.  they dont bunch up, and they are really comfortable, there is also no panty line.b/c if they just look like part of the shorts.

its actually more hygenic to wear underwear preferably not thongs- but i know thats the way most girls wear it. but its your choice.

and regular underwear is fine for practice b/c usually your practice tshirt covers most of your spandex anyway.:]

Wear whatever kind of underwear that you feel comfortable in!! When I saw the question, I though  you meant what do you wear so that people can't see what you're wearing under your shorts. If that is the case and you just hadn't thought about it yet, wear spandex. I wish you lots on luck during tryouts!!! ;)

u should wear regular panties so they wont ride up ur butt crack!trust me i was on da team and wearing a thong isn't a great idea

You should wear comfortable underwear that don't have an obvious outline. [ex. girl boxers - That's what I wear everytime]
