What do you wish you knew about money back in high school?

What things that you now know about money, do you wish you knew in high school?

Because I grew up in the 60's and early 70's, I quickly learned that if I got a part time job in high school, I could afford some extra stuff.  I haven't learned anything more startling since then.

The value of a dollar. The merit of earning money and how to handle it (and how to handle a budget, really) rather then spend it on superflous things.

I wish I knew that credit does not mean you have money.  I also wish I knew that saving and investing your money will pay off.
