Hi, since the weather is terrible in the UK this week, I am having some trouble with the clothes outside on the line.

What should you do when it rains? My aunt said leave them becuase there is nothing you can do to battle the rain or something. I don't have a dryer, by the way.

  1. LEAVE THEM THERE TO DRY AND WHEN THEY DO REMOVE THEM RAIN MAKES THEM SOFTER ANYWAYS.

  2. My nan has got an indoor washing line (so does my mum) you can probly buy them from house shops like B&Q or homebase and you can put your clothes in a spare room or something to let them dry

    hope this helps

  3. i hang it on hangers and hang from door handles and frames, window handles or put over the stair banisters.

  4. you can do what ducky suggests, however i've been having the same problem for few days but having all the clothes with the airer inside is really awkward.there simply is no space. what i found helpful is, as soon as they drier but still damp, i iron it.

it drives me mad as well an i'm hoping for the sunny days very soon

  5. Get an indoor clothes airer. You can get them from argos for about £10

  6. Oh dear, and the weather here in Tennessee isn't much better this week either.  Since I hung my clothes this morning out on the line, and as I noticed rain clouds rolling in with lots of thunder and lightening, I realized, "I am going to have wet clothes or be struck by lightening trying to get them off the line before they are SOAKED!".  Mine are still on the line, and with any luck, they will dry again, smell even better with dried rain water on them and I will bring them in tomorrow.  Had I thought they were going to get wet again, I might have put them on the wooden slat dryers that I have and set them on the deck to dry, but I figured I would pull them in BEFORE it rained today.  Too bad I forgot the time and got busy doing other things, before hearing thunder and looking out to see my clothesline, filled with soon to be wet laundry being lit up like a Christmas tree in the lightening!    So I say leave them!  I turn all the stuff inside out anyways, so even if they get too much sunshine, they don't fade while hung out to dry.  Hope this helps you!  Good luck!

  7. I only wear my clothes once.  Then I throw them away.

  8. if its just started to rain il bring them in and throw them on the radiators but if it starts really heavy il usually just leave them there

  9. Bring them in..........
