Question:

What do your coaches make you do when the team gets punished?

On our team is varies from Coach to Coach.

The Lineman coach doesn't believe in up-downs (your team might have a different name for these). He usually just makes us do some fun sprints.

The defensive coordinator loves up-downs and when we get in trouble he usually starts his evil laugh and tells us to spread out and begins to blow the whistle for us to start and we usually down stop until someone blows their chunks.

The head Coach likes a bit of both, but when he's really dissapointed in us and doesn't even want to see our faces, he makes us run to this big tree about half a mile away and run back.

Anyway, im curious to know what evil sadistic things your coaches make you guys do.

  1. hmm well we dnt really get in that much of trouble but when we do were in for some wonderful 100 6os which is always fun and some fun up downs 2....and we do this in louisiana weather so that makes it worse.

  2. Yells makes us run up downs sprints ladders redew all are stretches bleachers. OH YEAH I PLAY IN ARIZONA I PLAY IN OVER 105F

  3. Our coach's favorite was something he called "Pack Reminders" (Our school's mascot is the Wolf Pack). Whenever we screwed up we would have to run Pack Reminders. It's sort of like suicides 'cept we're on the field and every five yards we run we have to do down-ups (or up-downs, whatever you call em).

Sometimes we'd have to run "The B Run" where we run to this giant letter B (to represent our school) painted on the side of the mountains and back. This is all through the desert in Vegas when it's 115 degrees outside.

  4. Plain and simple....run the bleachers and wind sprints until we catch cramps and moan in agony. Then has the nerve to make one of us go out and catch a pass, and if the guy misses it we start over until someone catches his pass.

  5. He makes us run up and down the field. There is always conditioning at the end of practice and we have to do that like 5 times and then if everyone doesn't make it within 30 seconds we have to do more.

  6. we run suicides for like 2 hours till we throw up

  7. in track:

an extra half mile for talking during drills.

an extra run at full capacity (usually half or quarter mile) for running a bad time

extra drills for sucking at your drills

  8. well lets see, first for warmup (everyday) we do a 20 min run, where we jog 30 sec, then sprint 20 sec, then jog again, ect.  but for punishment lets see

head coach-he LOVES seucides.  were u start at the goal line, sprint to the 5 then back, 10 back (to the goaline) 15, back, 20 back, 25 back, 30 back, ect all the way down the feild.  then wen we do that once, we do 50 pushups and 50 sit ups.  we then start over, but this time wen ur done we do 45 pushups and 45 sit ups.  we subtract the # of pushups and sit ups we do by 5 (from 50) until were at 0.  its total h**l

JV coach-Loves those dang up-downs and the 200 yard crab/bear walk.

Assistant coach-he loves just plain old sprints the most, but he also loves ab bridges

we do them like this once in a while, but mainely we do them in a strait line w/ ur legs on the persons shoulders behind u, and the person in front of u has his legs on ur shoulders. so we got a line like this of the whole team, and we do about 20 of them.  it suks!!!!

so yea, i hate our punishments.  it was REALLY bad Last year since we didnt win a single game.....:( lol

  9. Finaly I can tell the things my coach did to our team...well he must have watched "300" way to many times because the 1st day of practice he checked to see how many of us had 6packs (thank god I did!) becuase then he made the people who didn't have to do 100sit ups and if u paused too long he made u run around the school and then do 115... he did that for the 1st week and a half until he decided he obviously couldn't make everyone on the team have abs so he decided he wanted everyone to be as quick and as agile as Barry Sanders (his favorite player because he'd say to our RB "C'mon barry sanders had a $hitty o-line and he broke records" when ever our RB got tackled in practice) so he'd have us run through tires until you could hear our ankles and legs creak like rusty hinges(lol not really but good similie right lol) but one day me and a few other kids (Nick, Hector,Andy, and Nathan) were watching the rest of the team get worked like horses (we were the kids who finished everything the 1st time so we didn't have to do extra ex. 100 sit ups) and we were having water and he said we were the lazy ones for never doing extra and Andy (the dumb@ss) said "we did it the 1st time we not lazy" and Caoch Panoly said not lazy ehh well c'mere...well to make a long story short he brought us to his Silverado and made the 5 of us push it around the school...and if we went to slow he added 2 more laps... h**l week would seem like a picnic compared to that **** (but it did make me stronger so it was worth it)

  10. First we start running. Then he asks someone if they are tired. If he says yes than coach says "You must not be in shape so run some more". If he says no he's not tired coach says "good you've got the energy to run some more". Its a no win situation.

  11. well

    hundreds of updowns

    mile run

    sprints

    suicides

    run laps around campus

    1 extra hr of practice

    in 100+ degree texas heat

  12. i once had a coach who would tell us to "go catch a cow" the nearest cows were probably 15 miles away!!!! all that meant was we would run untill he was no longer pissed off. This usually took 45 min to an hour. the best part............. it was little luege football! we were 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i gotta hand it to him, we won the championship that year cuz we ran everybody else to death!!!!!!

  13. We ran superman's/sprints. We had this monster hill next to the field. We would run up the hill then down about 20 times with no rest. Superman's were when he took 8-10 cones on the hill. One at top then second at bottom but in a slant, this way your running up and down the hill at an angle. Then to make it worse he would put one of the quickest guys in the middle and if he passed a certain some1 or didn't run his hardest we would have to keep doing them.
