You mean the trash situation? It makes Naples very embarrassing to the rest of the world. Sorry to be harsh. I don't understand why people in Naples do not recycle, do not ban plastic bags (or put a huge tax on such), compost appropriate waste, etc. I understand that the government has been inactive and corruption is rampant, but maybe the problem is also the lifestyle of Naples? (I was there in 2006 and was very disappointed, because of the mounds of trash and how people treated the trash they themselves produced).
