I am an resident alien and have a brasilian passport. I know I have to have it updated, but can I use that to go on a cruise leaving the states? I can't get an American Passport yet...Anyone know what I should have with me?

  1. Bring an updated passport.

All cruise lines require a passport.

You may want to bring your birth certificate, just in case.

    :-)

  2. I would call your cruise carrier and ask them just to be sure. Last thing you want it to be stranded and already paid for the cruise

  3. I have had the same experience. Always bring your Green Card (US resident card) and your passport. In your case bring a valid Brazilian passport and a valid green card, or else don't even bother showing up at the port.

  4. You should always call immigration to confirm what you need, as they can change it anytime.. and you don't want to stuck with a cruise you paid for and they won't let on board with the wrong documentation.

  5. Bring your green card, passport, birth certificate, and some form of ID (liscene)*

  6. you need to bring MEE

    hehe

    p.s

normally just a passport and your ticket..
