We'll be traveling on a day-trip only with two grandmothers and myself - probably only to Tijuana or, possibly, as far south as Ensenada, but no further. Does she need a passport in addition to birth certificate and notarized permission from her parents to accompany us on this brief trip?

Senator Feinstein - my state senator - has been absolutely of no assistance with this question. Thanks for any input.

  1. You do NOT need a passport for ground travel. What you stated is completely sufficient for now.

  2. Passport amigo. I'm Dominican. Since I was young I've always needed my passport to go and come back. So a passport is what you need for her to go there. Enjoy your trip =]

  3. passport is not required. Birth certificate is ALL you will need.
