What documentation is a condo renal cap listed?

We are having problems with HOA. They are saying we don't have a rental cap and we believe we saw something in writing two years ago when we moved. We have looked but can't find it now.

Most HOA's don't have a rental cap. That would be unfair to some owners.   Many are stopping rentals altogether. They are tired of the renters not abiding by the rules; also by the uncaring attitude of the renters to the common areas and parking spaces.  If you can't find it, it is not in the documents. /

It will be in the Declaration of Covenants.  Sometimes called the CC&R's or even the Master Deed.
