If you are flying you need a passport, if you are traveling by land or sea you need a goverment issued photo ID (Drivers License) and a Birth Certificate with the stamp it must be an original, no copy. What ever you do do not forget them.

Pamela is correct  all you need is a valic ID and a birth certificate.  you do not need a passport until 2009.  i travel to rosarito 3 times a month.
