  1. It depends on the base. some require more I.D. than others. You'll need your husband to get you on base. Then have a the original marriage certificate, and at least 2 forms of I.D. As stated before, you're child doesn't need an I.D. yet.

  2. Marriage license & certificate!

  3. Children do not get ID cards until they are 10 years old or if you are not married.

In a previous question you mentioned he just started, so you will have to wait for the paperwork to arrive authorizing you to do it.  You should receive a package within 3 to 4 weeks.  Once you have this you take it along with 2 pieces of ID (Drivers License, SSN Card, Passport...) to the closest Base or Reserve Center and get it done there.  It will be given to you immediately.

  4. No your 2 year old does not need one. If you are enrolled in deers already most of the leg work is done. You need your husband, his id, and proof of your id. They already know your married..and everything else about you for that matter.

The id works as your insurance card if you have tricare. You have to explain that to docs..

  5. No, your 2 year old would not be authorized an ID unless you are dual military. You need to take your husband, marriage license and photo ID to the ID card facility. If your husband can't go with you, you'll need a Power of Attorney. This is the guideline for most bases, however, some requirements differ from base to base. Contact your ID card facility and find out exactly what you'll need before you head down there.

  6. I'm sure you should bring your drivers license and, ideally, a passport if you have one.  I'm not sure about the kid so call ahead to find out.
