What documents are needed for cruises?

my dad says all we need are boarding passes and our passports. that doesnt seem like enough. or is it? anything else we would need?

  1. That's about it. The cruise company should also send you tags for your luggage too. They are marked with the name of the cruise company on them and must go on each piece of luggage except your carry-on bag. Ten years ago, when going on a cruise, you use to get a whole pile of papers in a big folder, but now everything is computerized. Pretty nice isn't it.


  2. Passports, boarding passes, and a state issued id

    (The id is not required but is nice because then you dont need to carry your passport when you get off the boat in port)

  3. Passport and Boarding Pass is it.  Absolutely no point in carrying State ID, as it is meaningless.  Your Passport is your ID, and you should never step foot in a foreign country without one, in my opinion.

  4. Yes that's all you need, passports and your boarding passes is all that's needed for cruises. Depending on where your going you may also need to have a visa.
