What documents are required to enter Nepal from India by air, by Indians?

we are a batch of 20 people who want to visit kathmandu and pokhara but we are unsure about which documents will be required for the travel . Will driving license and pan no. suffice or not?

  1. by the way in air who is going to check your documents? No one is going to fly across just to have a look at what document you are carrying when you cross India and enter nepal.


  2. Indian citizens do not require a visa to visit Nepal. However, they are required to carry documents such as a valid passports or photo identity cards issued by the government of India or any state government or union territory, and identity cards issued by the election commission of India, emergency certificate issued by the embassy of India and Kathmandu to Indian nationals in case of emergency. Please note that Nepal Immigration has not authorized a valid identity for Ration Card or Driving License or School/College ID card

  3. Any valid photoid proof issued by govt of india or recognised by govt of nepal. iff you have passport then carry nothing else.

  4. India and Nepal have open border, so you don't need visa. But have your passport with you.
