I want my granddaughter to come here in abu dhabi where my husband works because my granddaughter is in need of a cochlear implant. Cochlear implant is quite expensive and I had read that it was done for free for children in humanitarian reason and shoulder the expenses by the charity organization.

Your husband has to apply for a visit visa for medical treatment for your granddaughter at the Immigration Department in Abu Dhabi. The costs of this visa are Dhs 1.000 for 90 days and can be renewed for the another 90 days at Dhs 500. A health insurance policy is mandatory for visitors and will be collected with the visa fees before issuing the visa.

You may also apply for a visit visa for your daughter because your granddaughter can not fly by herself and can not be admitted to a hospital for surgery by you without having custody.

Your granddaughter can not be under your husband's sponsorship for residence because she is no orphan.

To keep the time frame and have everything settled before your granddaughter comes to Abu Dhabi, I advise you to have things arranged in advance here in Abu Dhabi.

Passport copies of your visitors

Certificate of employment + Certificate of salary

Prove of Health Insurance of your visitors
