What documents does a UK citizen need to marry a US citizen in California or Vegas?

My b.f lives in Scotland and I live in California. he will be coming in 2 1/2 months to visit me and during this time we want to get married. Then I plan to get a marriage visa and move to the UK in January. What does he need to bring with him so that our marriage is accounted for? I've read on some sites and they say in order to get a marriage visa your marriage certificate needs to corporate seal/stamp? Will our marriage certificate automatically recieve that or is it different because he is a non-US citizen? But again, what will he need to bring w/ him for us to Wed in November?? Thanks in advance for the help.

This is the site you will need to move here (to the UK).  My Husband is English and I am from Florida.  We married on Daytona Beach and then I moved here to England.  In order for us to marry he needed ID (passport) and proof of divorce.  That was all.  

The move here to England was a LOT more involved and in the end cost us about $6k.
