  1. bail is how much it will cost to get out of jail.  a $10,000 bail means the person has to pay $10,000 to get out of jail.

  2. BAIL is some form of property deposited or pledged to a court in order to persuade it to release a suspect from jail, on the understanding that the suspect will return for trial or forfeit the bail (and be guilty of the crime of failure to appear). In most cases bail money will be returned at the end of the trial, if all court appearances are made, no matter whether the person is found guilty or not guilty of the crime accused. In some countries granting bail is common. Even in such countries, however, bail may not be offered by some courts under some circumstances; for instance, if the accused is considered likely not to appear for trial regardless of bail. Countries without bail imprison the suspect before the trial only if deemed necessary.

  3. bail is where someone has to show up for a trial on a later day, but wants to go home or something, so they put down some money, like 10,000, as collateral to make sure they'll show up for the trial. if they dont, i guess the court keeps the money

  4. THe money it costs to be released from prison before you are put on trial.  If you cannot post bail, then you must stay in prison until your trial comes.

  5. You can get out of jail pending outcome of the charges if you deposit $10,000 with the court.  Bail is forfeited if you fail to appear on the next court date.  If a bond option is granted, it may be 10 percent, in which case you would give a bail bondsman $1000 and he would put up the other $9000.  In that situation, the bail bondsman gets the $10,000 back and keeps your $1000 as the fee.

  6. It means $10,000 must be paid as a fine to keep someone out of kail in between the charge and the court dates.

  7. bail is when someone goes to jail, and you have to pay the fine (in this case 10k) to get the suspect released. They have to return for trial though. If all the court appearances show then the bail is usually given back, wether guilty or not ^^
