I read the manual for my new Sony Bravia Rear Projector LCD TV. What does 1280x720 resolution mean??? :)

  1. 720p assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9, a vertical resolution of 720 pixels and a horizontal resolution of 1280 pixels for a total of about 0.92 million pixels.


  2. It means that the picture is 1280 pixels wide and 720 pixels high.
