  1. SEER stands for "Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio."  This is a measure of the energy efficiency of the air conditioning system. SEER ratings permit consumers to compare operating costs of various cooling systems and products. 14 is pretty good the average being about 10 SEER for a new unit.


  2. It is something to do with air conditioning/heating systems.  I think it has something to do with how fast the airflow is
