  5. Hello,

This is what they stand for.

    1D- First division

    2D- Second division

    3D- Third division

    4D- Fourth Division

    5D- Fifth Division

***I have never seen a fifth division, but hey its possible! :-)***

1D will be the fastest run of the day/night.  The rest are based on how fast the 1D time was.  I think it is between 1-2 seconds slower for the top winners in each division.

The first person in 1D will win the MOST money and or prizes, then 2D, then 3D and lastly 4D.

    Hope I helped! :-)

1D(first division) means that they ran the fastest time for their division that night. Lets say you and I run the 2 fastest runs at a barrel race in the same division ie, novice/open/youth. Say I run a 15.7 and you run a 15.98.  I win first in 1D you get second in 1D.  I will win more money than you because I was faster. See?

Does that answer your question about the first division?

Or am I being totally confusing? lol...

  6. It stands for divisions as stated above.  The show will state whether it's 1/2 (half) second splits or 1 second splits.

    If it's a 1 second split -

and lets say there are the following times:

    16.5, 16.7, 17.6, 18.7, 19.8, 20.9

1D times (winning time of 16.5-17.5):

    1st) 16.5

    2nd) 16.7

    2D times(17.5-18.5):

    1st) 17.6

    3D times (18.5-19.5):

    1st) 18.7

    4Dtimes (19.5+):

    1st) 19.8

    2nd) 20.5

How far they payout depends on how many people enter the jackpot - if there are 100 people, they can pay out 5+ spots for each division.  If there are only 10 people, they will only pay out one spot for each division.
